5 Ways to Manifest Abundance through Gratitude

Every one of us has something we want to manifest. It might be in our health, relationships, time or money freedom, physical environment, or in our business. You know what it is for you.

When we show up daily with an attitude of gratitude, true gratitude in our heart mind and soul, we emit a frequency harmonious with abundance. Just like your television is tuned to the frequency on your remote control, so your life tunes to the frequency you are holding.

Our energy moves through us and beyond us, and affects the lives of others in a positive way when we are in a frequency of gratitude. Opportunity also shows up when we are in that positive vibration.

Let me tell you what happens when we aren’t feeling so great. When we are feeling less than, or in a negative attitude or frequency, that feeling is emitted to others and out into the Universe where IT returns in like kind. It’s plain and simple, a law of the universe. It works every time in perfect harmony with how we are FEELING.

The Universe hears us, sees us, witnesses what we are thinking, feeling and being.  When every cell of our body is filled with gratitude, it matches the frequency of abundance and manifestation. We see the multitude of opportunity in each moment.

When we are feeling "less than" or in a negative vibration, this is what happens.

We cut off our receptivity to the All which provides for us. It’s like watching a channel on TV that we don’t like, when all of the other channels on the TV are available to us right in that room. All we have to do is change the frequency with the remote to be on a different channel in that same room. And there are hundreds of channels to choose from.

Our minds work much like that. We can tune our minds by noticing our thoughts and changing them. The thinking causes feeling. That’s what you want. You want a feeling of gratitude. You want to BE grateful, and then you will attract all good to you. You know that. You might not know the power of it.

So what can help bring your frequency up to a higher state, into a state of gratitude? Here are 5 things you can do.

  1. Journal your gratitudes. Upon awakening, think of 5 things you are grateful for. They can be anything, a breath, a soft rug, a cup of coffee, your spouse, partner, child, or pet, your health.  Anything. They are yours. Before going to sleep, review them and add to the list if you want to.
  2. Take the time to consciously express gratitude to someone each day this week.
  3. Whatever experience you are having, don’t judge it. Decide to be grateful for it. Bless the experience. This is a highly advanced spiritual practice.
  4. Pause during the day, and remind yourself to be grateful.
  5. Be grateful for what you desire to manifest in advance as if what you desire is already yours. Use your genius confident action mastery tool of imagination.

Gratitude opens up a capacity within you to create whatever you want to manifest. But you can’t just be grateful once and expect things to magically appear. Bring yourself into a higher frequency with gratitude to create favorable conditions within you first. You want to have a desire, and a continual state of gratitude, open to opportunity to take confident action on.

When you change what’s going on within you, then and only then, your results change and your world changes.

Your Personal Transformation

Springtime is a symbol for transformation, a time for change and a time for becoming. Once barren trees bring forth buds, leafs and flowers. Bulbs gracefully rise up through the soil as the entire landscape comes alive, a diverse palate of brilliant color. The caterpillar prepares for a complete metamorphosis by liquefying, reorganizing its molecules into a new pattern and becoming an entirely new creation. This beautiful new butterfly now has wings, majestically flying for the first time in her life.

The story of the butterfly is a metaphor for our personal transformation. If we want change and don't let go of the life we're living, then in a sense we die. We must completely let go of our old paradigms, our habits and beliefs about ourselves and the way the world works. Only then can we emerge into a higher order of being. We don’t just transform in a couple of weeks like a monarch butterfly does. We must be able to see our own blocks and limiting beliefs before we are able to change, and replace these beliefs with a more expansive view. We must continually take action steps with our new systems and habits of belief.

How do we break through our old limiting paradigms after they have become the pattern that we have lived for so long?

It starts with a vision for your ideal life. What makes you come alive? If you could be, do, have, create and give anything regardless of age, race, gender, education, time or money, what would that be?

Where do you want to transform your life — in your health? In your relationships? In your vocation? In your time freedom? Your financial freedom?

What is your longing? What is your discontent? What are your core values?

What is important to you? What is your purpose? What is your “why”? What would you love?

You might not know all the answers to these questions right away, so you start somewhere like, “What would I love”?

There is a system for creating a vision, and putting it in the highest frequency possible — one in harmony with your dream. Without a vision, there is no new pattern to work with. Even with a vision, the call of the old familiar is powerful, like the pull of gravity. A rocket going into space needs booster rockets to get it past the Earth’s atmosphere. Without them, the rocket would never make it out and would come crashing back to Earth. A structure of support such as a highly qualified mentor or coach is critical to help you transform your life from the old familiar status quo to the vibrantly alive and rich life you are seeking to live.

Once you create a blueprint, it’s time to set action steps and goals

Your paradigms will be screaming at you, “You can’t do this!” They are very sneaky. They can emerge as a distraction, a dissuasion or an alert that something highly important has to be done first. Your paradigms will do anything to keep you “safe,” although they are really keeping you stuck.

At a very early age, many of us were told “get real,” “pay attention,” “stop daydreaming,” “get a job with benefits and retire and then you can live the life you love.” You deserve to live a life you love now. You are your highest authority, and it’s up to you to make a decision for your life.

True transformation occurs when we override the fear, doubt and worry, and endeavor confidently. Confidence doesn’t mean we don’t have fear. Confidence means we take action in the presence of our fear. You must be in love with your vision, and have a burning desire to succeed.

We don’t transform all at once. We take baby steps, one at a time. You can climb Mount Everest with baby steps. You’re going to bump up against your paradigms. That’s good news! Once you are aware enough to notice them, you can override them and become the person living the life that you want to live. We transform the world by transforming ourselves. We don’t do it alone. We do it with a system and a structure of support.

Become the change you want in your life. Become the person who is living that ideal life. Personal transformation, then, not only becomes a possibility, it becomes a reality.

5 Ways to Determine if Your Dream is Right For You

It's really important that your dream, your vision is in harmony with your purpose and core values.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

~Martin Luther King, Jr.

Geoffrey Avert said that, “The most important thing about having a goal is having one.” The same goes for your vision, your dream. You must first establish your dream and establish that this dream is a good fit for you before it can be manifested into a reality.

Here is a 5 point test, 5 questions that you can ask yourself so that you will confidently know whether or not your dream is right for you.

5 Point Test to See if Your Dream Is Right For You

The 1st question you want to ask yourself is:

Does it give me life?

Do you feel passion for your dream?  When you’ve chosen the right dream you will feel emotionally connected to it. Thinking about your dream will give you an expanded sense of enthusiasm and vibrant aliveness. It should feel really good to you.

The 2nd question you want to ask yourself is:

Does it align my core values?

Your dream must align with your core values, the qualities that really matter to you in your life,  in order for it to manifest.  If your dream is in conflict with your values, you will feel discord and you won’t have the energy behind your actions that feels good to you. You want your energy to flow harmoniously with passion and enthusiasm toward your result.

The 3rd question you want to ask yourself is:

Does it cause me to grow?

There must be potential for growth. If you’re not learning, or you’re in your comfort zone, that is not growth. Ask yourself, does my dream cause me to grow?

The 4th question you’ll want to ask yourself is:

Do I need help from a Higher Power?

If you know all the steps to bring your dream to fruition, it’s not a big enough dream. You don’t need to know the HOW. It’s not even your job to know the HOW. Your job is to know the what. Dreams are the Universe’s way of helping us grow and expand ourselves. Do I need help from a Higher Power?

The 5th question that you want to ask yourself is:

Is there good in it for others?

Is there good in it for others?

The Universe is always seeking expansion, and a dream that is aligned with your true self will always include some good for others.

Your mind may play host to a myriad of ideas or wishes, but you need to distinguish your deepest most passionate desire from impulses or fleeting inclinations.

You are endowed with the power to choose that dream closest to your heart, and by co-creating with God,  you can embark on a path that will manifest that dream.

Okay, here’s a quick recap.

How do you confidently know your dream is right for you? Here is the 5 point test to ask yourself.

  1. Does it give me life?
  2. Does it align my core values?
  3. Does it cause me to grow?
  4. Do I need help from a higher power?
  5. Is there good in it for others?

You can take this a step further by writing down what you would love to experience in health, relationships, your business or career, and your financial and time freedom. Then take the 5 point test and see how you do.

AND You can take this another step further by engaging in some support.

5 Reasons Why Practicing Gratitude Daily Makes You More Productive

Twenty years of research proves that gratitude helps you be more productive.

Paul, my client and corporate V.P., brilliantly directs projects and teams. Moving from task to task, he was consistently achieving goals. He said that as long as he was on a roll, he would keep going, but he wasn’t finding any joy in his accomplishments.

What value can you discover in gratitude?

1. You Can See More Opportunity

According to research by Shawn Achor, people who operate at a higher level of optimism are 37% better at sales,  They achieve this through the practice of gratitude.

Oprah journaled 5 gratitudes a day for over a decade, and urged everyone to do the same. If she didn’t see or feel something immediately to be grateful for, she consciously looked for something to appreciate, and something always showed up. When she became overwhelmed by her increasingly busy schedule, her gratitude practice slipped away. Her wealth, fame and responsibilities grew exponentially, but she lacked the happiness to enjoy them.

Oprah said, “Recently, in the process of building a television network, I got so focused on the difficulty of the climb that I lost sight of being grateful for simply having a mountain to climb. Only when I began feeling gratitude for the opportunity to serve a new audience in a new way did a shift happen. Viewers started saying the most amazing things—things that aligned exactly with my vision of what OWN can be.”

2. You’re Better at Solving Problems

People who practice gratitude are more creative in finding solutions to problems. People who are grateful are faster and more accurate in their solutions. Doctors are 19 percent faster and more accurate at coming up with the correct diagnosis.

The brain performs better and business results improve, according to Shawn Achor’s “Get more done-be more productive” Ted talk. Being grateful on a daily basis can rewire your brain, allowing your brain to work more optimistically and  successfully.

Just a few days ago, I was having trouble focusing on some business projects. I heard a voice within me saying, "What have you accomplished today?"

I turned to my coach and told him that my lazy paradigm was coming up. He said my paradigm was trying to tell me I’m lazy, but I’m not.

I invite you to the“How to Confidently Live An Abundant Life” webinar

This brought to mind that I was also overseeing some landscape and remodeling projects, a part of my vision coming to fruition.  My home and office was in a state of temporary chaos. I realized I was also focusing on problems and obstacles. I wasn’t BEing grateful.

To shift into productivity, I followed this process:

  1. I compressed my business tasks into ten minute micro commitments.

  2. I set a timer, making concentrating more focused and deliberate.

  3. I documented my accomplishment when I finished each ten minute commitment.

  4. I celebrated my successes, and consciously practiced gratitude for the small wins.

bigstock--153775901 (1).jpg

As a result, I felt more positive, lightened up on myself, and became better focused in the presence of  temporary chaos. I changed the way I was being, and my results changed.

3. You Increase Your Mental Strength

Studies found that people who practiced gratitude were more resilient after the terrorist attacks of 9/11 than those who did not have a gratitude practice.

Vietnam War Veterans with higher levels of gratitude experienced lower rates of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, according to a 2006 study published in Behavior Research and Therapy.

People in sales are subject to rejection all day long, yet gratitude helps them stay optimistic in the face of adversity, and results oriented.

My client recently lost her husband, the love of her life. With my support and gentle reminders, she gracefully moved through her grief with gratitude for the wonderful times they did have, and for her family, friends, and faith.  It was her gratitude that made her more resilient, and ultimately, saved her.

"Gratitude helps employees to see beyond one disaster and recognize their gains. Ideally, it gives them a tool to transform an obstacle into an opportunity."
~Robert Emmons, psychologist

4. You Develop Greater Confidence

Gratitude improves self esteem and people with greater self-esteem perform at peak levels. This is eye-opening when we consider this: Dr. Joe Rubino states that 85% or more of all human beings suffer from lack of self esteem in different areas of their life.

Bigstock- 103252546 - Business Woman.jpg

People who have gratitude are more confident.

Harvard Business School studies found that reflection leads to better performance. In particular, journaling helps build self esteem and confidence as people reflect on their day with gratitude. In fact, employees who journal have 22.8% better performance.

"They feel more confident that they can achieve things. As a result, they put more effort into what they're doing and what they learn."  -Harvard Business School professor Francesca Gino

The Journal of Applied Sport Psychology found that gratitude increased an athlete’s self esteem, which is a crucial element to optimal performance.

Forbes reported that studies show that gratitude reduces social comparison. People who are resentful of other people’s accomplishments suffer from low self esteem. Grateful people are better able to celebrate other people’s accomplishments. This leads to a more harmonious and positive environment and greater productivity.

5. Gratitude Reduces Your Stress

Berkeley studies show there is scientific evidence that grateful people have a higher resiliency to stress. It helps you to get through the hard times.

A study by the University of Kentucky found that gratitude reduces agression, so people are less likely to retaliate when given negative feedback.

Psychology Professor Robert Emmmons says that gratitude strengthens teams. Many companies and organizations have work cultures that are toxic, filled with negativity.

Gratitude fuels kind relationships. Kind, nurturing relationships naturally create the well being that we as humans naturally crave in our environment.

Your brain in a positive frame of mind is 31% more productive than your brain in a negative, neutral or stressed mindset.

“Gratitude is the ultimate performance-enhancing substance at work,” says psychology professor David Emmons.

Gratitude isn’t just about thankfulness. Gratitude is a conscious choice and a way of thinking, feeling, and being.

When my client Paul, the Vice President I mentioned at the beginning of this article, put his gratitude practice in place, this is what happened for him. A noticeable shift occurred. Not only did he start to feel joy again, but by pausing to presence himself in gratitude, he became even more productive and was energized for his next task or project. This had a positive effect on his entire team.

What is Your Abundance Mindset Level?

Abundance is our birthright. Many people, even highly successful leaders, CEO’s and executives struggle with at least 7 or more of these “Abundance Awareness” items.

Abundance Awareness

What would you feel is your abundance level?  What mindset are you coming from?

This is an exercise in “Abundance Awareness.” It is simply for you to notice how you are thinking and where you are. It's simply an observation, and we don't judge ourselves here.  Where we are has no bearing on what we can accomplish. This can be a stepping stone to your next level of abundance!

How do you view the abundance in your life? On a scale of 1-10, where do you land in each of these categories?

1=scarcity, lack and limitation

10=full spectrum wealth at it’s highest level

After the assessment of 1-10, you will see exactly where you land from 0-200.

See the 3 simple steps below.

Where do you land on your Abundance Meter?

Where do you land on your Abundance Meter?

What does your abundance meter read? Do you have poverty consciousness or abundance consciousness?

How do you assess yourself?  How do you see yourself? What thoughts and feelings do you have? What words do you use? What kind of actions do you take in relation to these ways of thinking?

Rate yourself from a 1-10 in each category. These categories can include the way you think, behave, and feel as a whole. This is a general exercise to awaken you to patterns and beliefs you may be holding.

1. Do the Self Assessment.

Where are you on a scale of 1-10 in each category?  What kind of thinking do you lean towards?

5=Somewhere in the middle-neither scarcity or abundance

How to Increase the Power of Your Self Image to Achieve Vibrant Health

Self image without a vision limits what we can achieve.  We cannot achieve more than how we see and believe ourselves to be.

Our self image can limit what we do, and the actions we take. At times, we don’t think we’re worthy, or good enough. This limits our motivation to act. We let obstacles stop us.

Most people think that they must have the perfect weight, the increased energy and motivation to have a better self image. What they're missing is a vision, and seeing themselves the way they want to be first. Another thing that people miss is loving every part of themselves right now, even the parts that are more difficult to love. Loving the negative aspects of ourselves makes it possible to move forward.

How do we bust through the self image barrier and create a greater, more positive self image, and achieve the vibrant health we so desire? How do we become more confident?

First of all, know that you are worthy of vibrant health, greater self esteem, weight release, increased motivation and energy, or whatever other health goal you may have. Is it time to increase your sense of deserving? You are deserving to have the best possible, most vibrant health you desire.

Secondly, here is an exercise that you can do to help you achieve your goals and increase your self esteem.

Think about a time you felt really good about yourself. This was a high point in your life. Remember just a moment or two of it and how you felt. What were you doing? Remember the details. You may have achieved something important to you, or it might be a beautiful moment of feeling better than you have ever felt before.

Now imaginally go back in time before that happened. This helps you to see that you progressed to this. Fast forward to the high point again, and imagine you are there. Image the experience, the sounds, feelings, and what you experienced with your senses. Experience this again in your mind, your heart, and your emotions. Who are you being? Memorize your state of being.

Now fast forward to a future goal in your health, and imagine that you have reached this goal. Imagine yourself in full color, doing something you love. Who are you being? What have you accomplished? What are you experiencing with your 5 senses? Just imagine. How do you feel? Put some emotional charge behing this because this is something you greatly desire. Maybe you are feeling wonderful, energized, and  vibrantly healthy, at your optimal weight, doing the things you love. You know what it is for you. Memorize this state.

Pull up this state of being at least 3 times a day. This is called generating state, and you can do this to “memorize” your future self. Done on a daily basis, it starts to become more realistic, and your expectations increase around this. You are raising your self image through this practice. The next step is to decide upon an action step, even a baby step to move you in that direction.

What step can you take now to move you forward into that state of vibrant health that you just imagined and yearn for?

What step can you take in 5 or 10 minutes? What is one commitment can you make right now to have more energy and joy and vibrant health in your life?  Don’t ever underestimate the power of 5 or 10 minutes. You CAN take a step now.

Take constant, inspired action. Baby steps are motivating confidence builders. Celebrate those little wins.

Every time we visit our vision or dream for ourselves, we can take a step more easily. It’s connecting to our WHY. That "WHY" keeps us motivated towards our little goals.

Every baby step you take today towards vibrant health counts. You are training your brain for success.

Journal your successes, your "little" victories. At the end of a day, you will have increased your confidence. After a while, you'll begin to realize how obtainable your goals really are, and that you are well on your way.  What commitment will you make right now towards your vibrant health? Commitment causes the energy of possibilty to create the opportunities for a new reality, a new you.

Achieving Vibrant Health with the Power of Awareness

How to increase your awareness

Most people think achieving vibrant health is all about diet and exercise. Actually, it is so much more than that, and it begins with awareness.

Every action you take for your health is a choice you make. Your thoughts control your feelings, and your feelings are in direct alignment with your actions. Your results are a product of your actions. Thoughts-Feelings-Actions-Results. Therefore, if we use the power of our mind, we can change our results. First, we must be aware of our thoughts.

How aware are you of your body and your health? How well are you tuned in to your health and well being needs, and what is required to achieve vibrant health?

What are your pain points in your health and well being?

Are you willing to look deeply into your state of health? How awake are you towards what is going on in your body? Let’s explore…then I'll help you solve this.

Where is your struggle?

-physical pain

-fatigue, insomnia and low energy

-weight gain

-body imbalances

-other physical health issues

- body image

Over the course of the past 30 years as a health and wellness professional, practitioner and coach, successfully helping thousands of people, and from my own health challenges, I have learned the secrets to achieving vibrant health.

I’ve learned that the FIRST STEP towards achieving vibrant health is awareness. I've also found both as a practioner and a coach, that there are deeper levels of issues underneath what seems to be the cause of a problem. The deeper your awareness, the more possibility for success.  Are you ready?

In most cases, many health and weight issues can be prevented, stopped, or reversed, but most people only change their habits after a life changing event, usually a bad one.

Only with awareness, can you take the next step. You can improve and maintain vibrant health, starting with awareness. If your bad habits have taken control, you can make a decision to turn things around.

Do you know...  your mindset affects your overall health?  ideal nutrition can depend upon body type, why inflammatory foods cause weight gain and disease? Are you aware of what you are doing right and wrong? Can you tune in to your body, and listen to what is going on? Do you have a vision for what you want your health to be? Do you have a mindfulness or meditation practice? Do you know how digestion affects your entire body systems? Are you aware of your posture and body mechanics? Do you have a positive body image? Are you aware of the positive effects of love and laughter? What good and bad habits do you have? Are you aware of your breath? Do you hold back on giving? Are you holding any grudges, and can you feel that in your body? Where are your blocks? What do you think of yourself? Are you mindful when you eat?

There is no right or wrong answer for these.  It's just a first step to get curious.

What You Can Do NOW to Increase Your Awareness to Achieve Vibrant Health

  1. MINDFULNESS HEALING PRACTICE Be mindful and present with acceptance and non judgement. Close your eyes, and notice these things:
  2. Notice your breath. Take a few deep breaths. Just witness it without trying to control it in any way. When you notice that your mind drifts off, simply shift your awareness back to your breath.
  3. Notice your energy. Fast, slow, rushing, dragging? What is your energy? No need to change it, just observe.
  4. Do a body scan. Imagine you can see inside of your body, and your body is a white light. Energy flows freely in some places and not in others.  What do you notice in your body? Any pain? Constrictions? Blockages? You might have your own description. Imagine your body as a white light. Are there any grey or black colored restrictions within? Just notice. Then imagine breathing healing energy into the grey or constricted areas. This may take practice. Be patient.
  5. Notice your feelings now and throughout the day. Check in with yourself. Know that your feelings are caused by your thoughts. You can choose to be curious about this.

2.  Throughout the day, notice your thoughts. Notice if you are complaining, comparing or criticizing others or yourself. Notice if you have negative thoughts. Notice any negative self talk going on. Notice any grievances. There is no need to judge. Just observe. Be accepting and curious about this. You can choose to pause when you notice this and use a more empowering thought or perception. Notice your positive thoughts, and feelings of gratitude. Memorize your state of being when you are feeling great, and pull up those feelings as you desire.

3. Notice your habits.  Just accept and be curious for now. Your food and exercise habits, and your habits of thinking. Observe without judgement.

4. Notice if you are holding any grudges, and if you have trouble forgiving others or yourself.

5. Notice all the “should haves” “if only’s” and “should have dones" that you think. These are things that lower your self esteem, and your image of yourself. Just notice without judgement.  Becoming aware is the first step.

6. Notice how you are feeling about yourself. Do you feel confident? What do you see yourself achieving? Do you believe you can achieve what you want to be happy in life? Do you think you must achieve certain things to be happy and confident?

7. Notice your longing and your discontent. What is your deepest desire for your health? What would you love?

What Would You Love In Your Health?

How would you like to feel when you wake up and get out of bed in the morning? Excited about who you get to be, what you get to do, create, and give? Energized? Joyful? Grateful for the day, for life, for the people you love?

What level of fitness would you love? What would you love to do on a daily basis? Walk the beach or hike in the woods? Travel tours? Swim? Weight training? Bicycle? Dance? Yoga? Walk with your lover, your dog, your friend?

How are you moving? Freely?

What is your ideal weight?  What nutrition level would you like?

Imagining that it all worked out, how do you feel in your perfect health scenario?

You can make this up. These are suggestions to get your imagination rolling. Use your own voice and your own true desires for yourself and the life you are living.

Noticing your thoughts and feelings will increase your body awareness. Creating a vision of what you would love will help you notice when you're on or off track. From there, you can make a new choice.

this takes time and practice. with continued practice, you will be healthier, and on to the next step.

Everything starts with awareness. This is a starting point. Once you are in observer mode, noticing and becoming more aware, then, and only then, can you consciously decide to change.

NFL Superstar Tom Brady's Secrets to Success

It didn't surprise me after watching Sundays NFL Superbowl game, that quarterback Tom Brady uses extraordinary disciplinary habits and success principles. It did amaze me that the practices he uses are the transformational principles and success practices that I have learned from the masters over the past few decades, studied, consistently apply, and now teach my clients.

Tom Brady has taken these transformational principles and disciplinary habits and used them to become the best leader, and the best man he can be. It doesn't stop there. He is constantly working to become his personal best.

Here is the article.

The Tao Of Tom: How Tom Brady Uses An 80-20 Diet, Meditation, Yoga & One Book To Age Backwards

“I’m 39 and I get to play football for a living. There are not a lot of people who get that chance,” Tom Brady tells Dayna Evans of NYMag.com. “Part of that is because of the way that I treat my body. There are not many people who get to play for as long as I have, and I want to be able to show the next generation of athletes that if you follow certain routines and you’re disciplined in certain areas, then you could get to do this, too.” So what exactly does the legendary New England Patriots quarterback mean when he references his own personal body discipline? How, exactly, is he able to ward off the aging process and perform at a level of mental and physical prowess that dwarfs other football players 15 years his junior? It’s a strict combination of food science, a highly non-traditional workout regimen, and a healthy dose of ancient eastern spiritual practice.
